We believe that every person is something bigger than his crime and he has a new opportunity to repent and change, by valuing him and showing him respect.

He has rights to encouragement, spiritual and emotional support, and friendship  manifesting the love of Christ, through the Gospel of the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

About Us

Our history

THE VOICE OF HOPE PFGR was founded officially in 2020 from Rodolfo Tassos together with Kallie Skaife d’Ingerthorpe.

Rodolfo Tassos has been ministering as a volunteer for 9 years in prisons since 2011, preaching the Gospel of Salvation of Jesus Christ to hundreds of inmates. In 2018 in Naxos, Kallie Skaife d’Ingerthorpe met Andy Corley who is the president/director of Prison Fellowship International, and she talked to him about the work in prisons in Greece. As she had been praying for years for this work, with her friend Eva Daphne Makridou, she believed that this meeting might be the answer to their prayers and in order for the Greek work in prisons to have a future, they were led together with Rodolfo Tassos, to found the VOICE OF HOPE PFGR, a legal Greek organization, which is governed by Greeks and mobilizes Greek people from inside and outside the churches, to think and to care for the inmates, when they are in prison and when they get our of prison, and to care about their families, while the parents might be inprisoned.

Who we are

What we do

Our mission is, to serve the gospel and the name of out Lord Jesus Christ to the prisoners, as a practical expression of His teaching, ”I was in prison and you came to Me”, Matt. 25,36, according to the teaching of the Gospel, that every person is God’s creature and he has the right to spiritual, emotional and psychological support, encouragement and sustenance, so that he may return to society a repentant and functioning citizen, with a changed mentality, productive and useful to society.

We do it professionally, with love and patience, building relationships with inmates giving them respect and honour and helping them according to their circumstances.

Our vision

Our vision is, by the grace of God, to visit and build in every prison (from the 33 prisons that we have in our country), a church, preaching to the inmates the Gospel of Salvation, knowing that each person is something more than his crime and he has a new opportunity to repent and to change.

Our vision is, to be hardworking and successful, with a high sense of responsibility towards the inmates, knowing that we serve our Lord Himself.

Our vision is, to be open minded that may help this work to become better than before

Our values

Responsibility: we prioritize prayer through formed prayer groups, we priorise hard work communicating and treating the inmates with respect in what ever we do. We are responsible for the management of the provision that comes from the Lord, responsible to God, to the state authorities, and to one another.

Cooperation – working together: we get good results in cooperation and communication with corresponding ministries, churches and interested individuals. We respect the diversity of the different christian traditions, of history and of culture. We confirm the importance of ecclesiastical life and the role that the churches must play in the fulfillment of our vision.

Compassion: we are a practical and adaptable ministry. We provide to the inmates every material help like, clothing, shoes, telephone cards, toiletries, books and any other possible material help in collaboration with the appropriate authorities.

How can I help ?

Working together with the churches or the team of P.H.C.P

Maybe your church community has a substantial way to reach out at Christmas to some of the most stigmatized and forgotten families in our society, offering to them in practical ways the love of Christ. Working together with the P.H.C.P. is a wonderful way to do this! You could commit yourself for the fund raising for the covering of a specific number of gifts or, in some cases you could even undertake the responsibility for purchasing and the delivering of these gifts based on the criteria that we will give you. For futher discussion, contact us . . .Tel: 23423424 Email

How can I contribute?

The cost of every gift for each child in the P.H.C.P. program is 18euro, including postal charges. You should know, that when you give, you put a smile on the face of a child and of his parents at Christmas and you lighten the pain of their absence. If you are parents, perhaps you can speak to your child about the P.H.C.P. progam and encourage them, even if possible with friends from their school, to raise money for one gift for a prisoner’s child.
